We set out to complete a full Lake Superior circle tour in the dead of winter, traveling through Michigan, Wisconsin, and Canada in search of ice fishing, frozen waterfalls, and remote backcountry camping. What we found was so much more. From exploring ice caves in Munising to being snowed in for days in Northern Ontario, this journey was a reminder that the best adventures don’t always go as planned.
